About Tasman Adventures

More than 85,000 nautical miles, including Atlantic, Pacific and Tasman crossings, provides the practical experience behind the training. 

Training takes place aboard Sirens’ Song, a Cape Dory 330 that has crossed oceans herself - or aboard your own yacht when that better suits what you want to learn. 

Jason is an RYA Yachtmaster Examiner and Cruising Instructor Trainer, with extensive experience teaching sailing, navigation, sea survival and practical maritime skills. 

Good sail training is about more than being shown what to do. Training is structured around clear explanations, plenty of practice and gradually taking more responsibility yourself. Jason’s background in education and teaching helps shape training around how you learn, with the aim of building genuine confidence and independence.
