Tasman Adventures provides practical, personalised sail training in Hobart and Southern Tasmania, with no more than two students aboard our practical sailing courses.
Come on your own, or learn alongside the person you'll actually sail with — your partner, a family member or a friend. With just two students, you'll spend more time sailing, navigating, making decisions and learning through doing.
Training is delivered by Jason aboard Siren's Song, our proven ocean cruising yacht, or on your own boat, and is tailored to your experience, goals and the sailing you want to do.

From becoming a confident member of the crew to skippering coastal, offshore and ocean passages. Five progressive levels — and you can join at the level that matches your experience.

Build the skills that make you a more capable and self-reliant sailor, with practical training in Sea Survival, Marine Radio and Marine Diesel Essentials.

Already have a yacht, a sailing partner or a bigger goal in mind? We can build training around where you are now and where you want your sailing to take you.

I teach no more than two students at a time, so you'll spend more time sailing, making decisions and learning through doing.

Siren's Song is a genuine ocean cruiser that I sailed from North America across the Pacific to Tasmania.

I bring together extensive offshore sailing and professional yacht instruction with a background in teaching and outdoor education.
Whether you're learning to sail, developing specialist skills or preparing for a bigger adventure, get in touch and tell me where you'd like your sailing to take you.
Come on your own, or bring the person you'll be sailing with.
