About Tasman Adventures

At Tasman Adventures, our mission is to share our passion for sailing with others and provide them with the tools and knowledge they need to become confident sailors. We believe that sailing is not just a hobby, but a way of life that can bring people together and create unforgettable experiences.

All our on-water training takes place onboard "Sirens' Song", our Cape Dory 330. She is a long-keeled fiberglass boat built in 1983 in Taunton Massachusetts and was sailed to Tasmania from California by Jason and Alan in 2009.

Jason has sailed more than 80,000 NM having crossed the Atlantic and Pacific as the skipper of small sailboats. Jason is a fully qualified RYA Yachtmaster Examiner and Cruising Instructor Trainer with Instructor Qualifications in Astral Navigation, Sea Survival, Radio operations and Diesel Engine Maintenance. Jason also holds several degree level qualifications in Teaching and Learning.
